Design, permits, earthwork, civil works, drainage, track construction, switch set signaling, No. 11 BNSF 136lbs/yd connection hardware to main track, aluminothermic welding of rail, stress relieving.

Design and Construction

Roadway design that includes a shared barbed wire between the two companies and each of the industries with their spurs. Soil mechanics and hydrological studies were carried out, as well as the necessary paperwork with the SCT and KCSM. Construction included earthworks, culverts, drainage, and the construction of the railroad tracks. The track construction included two No. 11 BNSF UP iron fittings, marked with a Siemens padlock and switch controller for the connections to the main tracks, and two No. 10 Conrail switch sets for the connections over the railroad ties for the industrial spurs and three spurs.

The tracks were constructed with concrete sleepers with RNY fasteners, welded 115RE rail, and concrete ballasted track. The drainage system includes ditches and the extension of a rail culvert.
