We design and build rail transfer terminals. A transfer terminal is where cargo moves from the railcar to a truck, a silo or a warehouse. The design depends on the cargo: bulk material is not unloaded the same way as a steel coil.

Projects in this category:

  • Mondelez, Salinas Victoria, N.L.: rail-to-silo transfer with pneumatic unloading systems. The project included a railway bridge, a track scale, a grade crossing and signaling.
  • Steel Technologies, Pesquería, N.L.: transfer terminal for steel coil and plate, with two spur tracks leading to the unloading area, a gantry crane and concrete-embedded track inside the building.
  • Gabsa y Fosfatos, Celaya, Gto.: transfer terminal for fertilizers and recycled oil, with a siding shared by two companies and a spur track for each one.
  • Vallon, Apodaca, N.L.: logistics terminal with lead spur tracks, concrete and steel ties, and permitting with CPKC.

Planning a transfer terminal?

Tell us what cargo you will receive, in which railcars and where it goes next. We will propose a conceptual design and a feasibility study.
