Shuttlewagon SWX 315 - 2017
The Shuttlewagon SWX 315, a 2017 model, is a railcar mover designed to deliver powerful and versatile performance in material handling in industrial environments. This equipment is known for its reliability and efficiency, making it ideal for operations that require moving railcars in railway and transportation facilities.
Main Features
- Maximum Tractive Force: Up to 27,000 lbs from a single coupler, allowing for efficient operation under various conditions.
- Full-Width Cab: Provides panoramic visibility and features a rotating operator console, enhancing safety by reducing blind spots.
- Air Suspension Seats: Two ergonomically designed seats that offer comfort during long work shifts, helping reduce operator fatigue.
- Air-Knife System: This advanced system allows for drying the rails in adverse weather conditions, increasing operational capacity by up to 50% and improving safety.
- Rubber Tires: Unlike traditional movers that use steel wheels, the SWX 315 employs rubber tires, providing better traction and a smoother ride, while also reducing wear on the tracks.
- Easy Engine Access: The design facilitates preventive maintenance, ensuring lower total cost of ownership and greater equipment durability.
Our CANbus electrical system uses state-of-the-art technology, offering features and benefits to operators and maintenance personnel that were previously unavailable. The operator can now view all critical information about the railcar mover’s readiness on the computer display. Maintenance personnel can access diagnostic information for the engine and other components, reducing downtime for maintenance.
The full-width crossover cab has complete 360-degree visibility, a 72-inch roof height, sliding windows, and a 180-degree rotating console. Rail operations can be conducted from either of the two operator seats, which have four-way positioning on each side of the cab. Roof-mounted defroster fans, map lights, red/white roof lights, and power adapter receptacles are all easily accessible.
Our anti-lock braking system (ABS) and anti-slip traction control (ATC) prevent tire slippage along the rail during braking, as well as excessive tire spin during movement. Since the system is automatic and reacts much faster than an operator, it greatly improves tire life and allows the operator to focus on maneuvering activities.
