Shuttlewagon NVX 5025 - 2017
The NVX Series capacity range is from 38,000 lbs to 85,000 lbs of tractive effort, with single or double coupling. The Navigator Series can move up to 40 loaded railcars without weight transfer coupling. The Navigator Series, which emerged from the success of the longer SWX840 model launched in 2011, includes four shorter models. Each Navigator model features the industry’s only mobile railcar movers that use a pivoting drive axle and rail guide system, all in one assembly. The Shuttlewagon NVX 5025 provides 38,000 lbs of tractive effort, enabling it to move heavy loads effectively and efficiently in various industrial applications.
Main Features
- Full-Width Cab: The cab is constructed from galvanized steel and mounted on rubber isolation mounts to reduce noise. It offers 360-degree visibility and features a central control panel that can be rotated for easy operation from both sides.
- Air Suspension Seats: Equipped with comfortable seats that help reduce operator fatigue during long work shifts.
- Service Brakes: Air-over-hydraulic actuated, with high-pressure disc brakes. Includes an ABS braking system to enhance safety during operations.
- Parking Brakes: Equipped with oil-cooled disc brakes located internally on the transmission output shaft.
Our CANbus electrical system uses state-of-the-art technology, offering features and benefits to operators and maintenance personnel that were previously unavailable. The operator can now view all critical information about the railcar mover’s readiness on the computer display. Maintenance personnel can access diagnostic information for the engine and other components, reducing downtime for maintenance.
The full-width crossover cab has complete 360-degree visibility, a 72-inch roof height, sliding windows, and a 180-degree rotating console. Rail operations can be conducted from either of the two operator seats, which have four-way positioning on each side of the cab. Roof-mounted defroster fans, map lights, red/white roof lights, and power adapter receptacles are all easily accessible.
Our anti-lock braking system (ABS) and anti-slip traction control (ATC) prevent tire slippage along the rail during braking, as well as excessive tire spin during movement. Since the system is automatic and reacts much faster than an operator, it greatly improves tire life and allows the operator to focus on maneuvering activities.
