Toad RBM 8 AREMA

The Manganese Steel Toad #8 is an essential component in the railroad system, known as the “common crossing”, facilitating the movement of wheels between tracks. It forms a fundamental part of the track switching hardware, occupying the space where two rails intersect, noted for its nose and wing rails.

With lengths of 8′-11“ and 13′-0”, this manganese steel toad excels on heavy and/or high-speed main lines, especially in areas with significant traffic on both sides of the crossing. Its rugged construction is achieved by a manganese steel body casting, installed between four specially fabricated rails from standard T-rails. Heat-treated bolt fixing ensures a strong and durable connection.
