Description
The rubber rail pad is an elastic polyurethane gasket designed to be placed between the rail and the sleeper for the purpose of protecting the top of the sleeper against wear and impact. Its initial design stiffness is not high, which allows for a large relative deformation. This ensures close contact between the pad and the rail, guaranteeing its effectiveness.
In addition, these pads, made of rubber or plastic, aim to suppress the vibration generated by passing trains, thus contributing to the stability and safety of the railway system.
